I AM LOUD: Scotland’s National Spoken Word Slam

From the Edinburgh Fringe to London's VAULT Festival, this collective has captivated audiences across the UK and beyond. Expect a night of high-energy poetry, featuring some of the most exciting voices in the spoken word scene today.
Founded in 2014, I Am Loud CIC began with Loud Poets, a monthly poetry night that set out to revolutionize spoken word. Driven by the goal of making poetry accessible, vibrant, and entertaining, they quickly became known for hosting top-tier talent and breaking new ground in the art form.
From these roots, I Am Loud expanded to produce an array of live shows, performing across the UK and internationally at acclaimed events like the Edinburgh, Brighton, and Prague Fringe Festivals, Hidden Door in Edinburgh, and London’s VAULT Festival. Along the way, they’ve collaborated with some of the biggest names in spoken word—Shane Koyczan, Joelle Taylor, Hannah Lavery, and many others—cementing their reputation for unforgettable, high-quality performances both on stage and online.
In 2018, they rebranded as I Am Loud Productions, continuing to elevate spoken word through innovative projects like Return to Form (an educational series), The Loudcast podcast, and their annual NaPoWriMo series. Now, with their 2022 Live Season and beyond, I Am Loud remains a driving force in the UK’s spoken word scene, celebrating the power of poetry to engage, challenge, and inspire.
